I'm Carmelita "Carm" Rimas — a CPA with 9+ years across auditing, bookkeeping, and U.S. tax preparation, helping business owners and organizations keep their financial records accurate, compliant, and easy to understand.
A closer look at my background, values, and the way I work with clients.
I'm a Certified Public Accountant with over nine years of combined experience in financial reporting, auditing, taxation, budgeting, and administrative operations — built across audit firms, a non-profit foundation, and nearly seven years of independent freelance practice.
My approach is grounded in accuracy and calm, clear communication. Whether I'm reconciling a year's worth of transactions, preparing a U.S. tax return, or strengthening a client's internal controls, I aim to leave every set of books in better shape than I found them — and every client with a plain-language understanding of their numbers.
Outside of spreadsheets, I bring a designer's eye to client-facing materials, having supported social media graphics and administrative communications alongside my accounting work — a small detail that tends to make reports and presentations easier on the eyes.
Graduated with a foundation in financial accounting, auditing theory, taxation, and business law — later licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.
